Booking without the app

There's a quiet tax on every workplace tool: the learning curve. The more steps between a person and what they want, the less the tool actually gets used.

For room and desk booking, we wanted that tax to be zero.

Reading takes no app

If all you want to know is "can I use this room right now?", you shouldn't have to install anything. The sign answers that for anyone walking by: free or booked, and until when. No login, no download, no friction.

Booking takes seconds

When you do want to reserve a space, you've got options:

• On your phone: open the app, pick a slot, done.
• On the web: same booking, from your laptop.
• At the sign: reserve the room you're standing in front of.

Fixed time slots keep it simple. The same clear rules apply to every room and every desk, so there's nothing to relearn.

Simplicity is a feature

We could add recurring bookings, per-room rules, and a dozen calendar integrations. We deliberately haven't, because the moment booking gets complicated, people go back to sticky notes and hope. Doing the essentials exceptionally well is the whole point.
